East Japan Disaster
First of all, I would like to express my sincere gratitude for sending heartfelt and encouraging messages to AJCE on the tragedy occurred on March 11. We thankfully received sympathy and condolence from FIDIC president, ASPAC chair, FIDIC Member Associations and friends of FIDIC from all over the world. Members of AJCE appreciate warm messages from all of you at time of deep sorrow.
Japanese people deeply appreciate rescue and medical crews from many oversea countries who dispatched to the disaster areas immediately after the earthquake and Tsunami attacks and have been working so hard in the disaster areas for helping and assisting needs of people. Further, we have been receiving many financial donations. These warm supports and encouragements will surely cheer up and push spirit of people in the disaster areas.
Though we are very much heartbroken by the loss of lives and destruction, Consulting Engineers have started forceful restoration works and are continuing to endeavor technical supports for swift restoration.
We request FIDIC, ASPAC, Member Associations and families of FIDIC for continuous support and advices.
Sincerely yours,
Noriaki Hirose
President
Association of Japanese Consulting Engineers
